EVEDEX is a non-custodial trading platform. That means your access is tied to your wallet or your email-based wallet, not a traditional username and password. If you lose access, your recovery path depends on how you originally connected to the platform.
1. Identify How You Connected
Before taking action, confirm how you usually log into EVEDEX:
If you use MetaMask, Rabby, or another wallet, access is controlled entirely by your wallet.
If you signed up using your email, a self-custodial wallet was created for you, and you control it with a password and recovery method.
Once you know how you access the platform, follow the right steps below.
2. If You Use a Web3 Wallet (like MetaMask)
In this case, EVEDEX doesn’t store your keys, password, or seed phrase. If you lost wallet access:
Try restoring the wallet using your seed phrase in the same or another browser.
If you don’t have your recovery phrase, unfortunately, the wallet—and the funds—can’t be recovered.
Always keep your recovery phrase written down and stored securely offline.
If the wallet still works but won’t connect, try:
Disconnecting and reconnecting from EVEDEX
Clearing your browser cache
Switching browsers or networks
3. If You Use Email to Access EVEDEX
When you sign up with email, EVEDEX creates a self-custodial wallet tied to that email. Your password and access are still private—EVEDEX never stores them.
If you forgot your password:
Go to the login screen and select “Forgot Password”
Enter your registered email
Click the link sent to your inbox to set a new password
Choose a strong, secure password
If the reset email doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder or try again later.
If you lost access to your email:
Try recovering your email with your provider (like Gmail or Outlook)
If you still can’t access your email, you won’t be able to reset your password
In this case, the wallet created with that email may be inaccessible unless you exported the private key or recovery phrase earlier
4. If You See Account Suspended or Restricted Messages
Because EVEDEX is non-custodial, it doesn't freeze accounts. However, temporary blocks could appear due to:
Too many failed password attempts on the email-based login
Security flags triggered by suspicious activity
In these rare cases:
Wait a few minutes and try again
Check your email for any alerts or instructions
Follow verification steps if prompted
EVEDEX doesn’t request ID or personal information unless you’ve enrolled in special programs that require it.
5. How to Prevent Future Access Issues
Once you're back in, take a few simple steps to keep your wallet and access safe:
Back up your wallet: Write down your seed phrase or export your private key and store it offline.
Use a password manager: If you’re using the email-based wallet, store your password securely.
Enable device-based 2FA if supported by your email provider.
Avoid phishing sites: Always type in the official EVEDEX address manually.
Never share your private key or recovery phrase with anyone—even if they claim to be support.
