What Are the Trading Fees?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

EVEDEX uses a maker/taker fee model similar to major centralized exchanges—but with added flexibility. Your trading fees can decrease over time depending on your activity level and eligibility for cashback rewards.

What Are the Trading Fees on EVEDEX?

EVEDEX uses a maker/taker fee structure, a model familiar to most traders. You’re rewarded with lower fees when you help provide liquidity to the platform, and you pay a bit more when taking liquidity from the market.

How the Fees Work

  • Taker Fee: Charged when you place a market order that executes immediately by matching an existing order in the book.

  • Maker Fee: Applied when you place a limit order that stays in the book and adds liquidity. You only pay the fee once the order is filled.

Fees are only deducted when a trade is executed—placing an order alone does not incur a charge.

Examples

  • You place a market buy — you're a taker, and a fee is applied.

  • You set a limit sell that fills later — you're a maker, and a lower fee applies.

  • You place a limit order that doesn't fill — no fee is charged.

No Gas Fees for Trading

Unlike traditional DEXs, EVEDEX uses a hybrid off-chain matching engine. This means you don’t pay blockchain gas fees for placing or executing trades. Only the final settlement interacts with the blockchain, keeping your costs low and execution fast.

Cashback Rewards

EVEDEX offers cashback on trading fees through its loyalty system. The more consistently you trade, the more you earn back. Cashback is paid in USDT and is automatically credited to your wallet the next day—available for trading or withdrawal.

Transparent and Fair Fee Model

  • No charges for unfilled orders

  • No platform fees for deposits or withdrawals

  • No surprise gas fees when trading

  • All fee details are visible directly in your account dashboard
