What Are Test Funds and Why You Need Them
EVEDEX Testnet lets you trade with demo tokens — simulated assets that work just like real ones. This helps you explore the platform, test strategies, or simply practice without risk.
But demo balances aren’t unlimited. If your funds drop to zero — for example, after a liquidation — you’ll need to top them up manually.
That’s where the Request Demo Funds feature comes in.
Where and How to Request Test Funds
You can request test funds from the desktop version of EVEDEX — not from a mobile browser or wallet app.
To request test funds:
Open evedex.com on a desktop browser
Click Exchange and connect your wallet
Go to the trading terminal
Scroll down below the order panel and click Request Demo Funds
If the request is successful, your balance will update instantly.
How Often Can You Request?
You can request test funds once per calendar day, based on UTC time.
It’s not a rolling 24-hour timer from your last request. Instead, the counter resets every day at 00:00 UTC — the same way a new day starts on a clock. So:
If you requested at any time today, you’ll be able to request again after midnight UTC, regardless of your local timezone.
Example: You requested funds at 3 PM — you don’t need to wait until 3 PM tomorrow. The next request becomes available after 00:00 UTC.
If the Request Demo Funds button is greyed out, it just means the new UTC day hasn’t started yet.
Can I Request Test Funds From a Phone?
No. Test fund requests are only available on desktop browsers. If you're trading from a mobile wallet or app:
Open evedex.com on a computer
Connect the same wallet
Click Request Demo Funds
Your wallet balance will then update across all devices — including mobile — as long as you're connected to the same address.
Final Notes
You can request test funds once per day (UTC-based)
Use the desktop version of EVEDEX
The request button is found below the order panel in the terminal
Requests apply to your wallet, not the device — so you’ll see the funds on mobile too
If the button doesn’t work, just wait until the next UTC day. Still unsure? Check your balance or reach out to support.
